Jenn Kasper is the owner of Sacred Movement, a mind/body/dance studio in St. Charles, Mo. Her passion is that inspires and empowers women to love themselves and their bodies through dance. She is a FatChanceBellyDance® Sister Studio, and a certified FCBD® Advanced Teacher Trainer. She is the director of Tandava Tribal, St. Louis’ first – and only – American Tribal Style® belly dance troupe. In addition to belly dance, she is a certified yoga instructor (RYT 200) and a Reiki Master.
A lifelong dancer, Jennifer Kasper’s extensive belly dance training began in 2003, while living in the Middle East. After moving back to the United States, she continued to study American Cabaret from 2004 – 2007. But once she was introduced to American Tribal Style® (ATS®) belly dance in 2007, she immediately fell in love with the concept, costuming and community! In October of 2009, Jenn decided to deepen her knowledge of ATS® by earning her General Skills and Teacher Certifications in ATS® from Carolena Nericcio-Bohlman, director of FCBD®. Jenn currently teaches three levels of ATS® classes at Sacred Movement. In addition she directs a student and professional troupe.
In 2015, Jenn became a Sister Studio Continuing Education Instructor, making her one of only a dozen certified ATS® Advanced Teacher Trainers worldwide. She has partnered with Susan Warner of Project Shimmy in Kansas City to form “Show Me ATS®,” a Missouri-based coalition to promote ATS® belly dance across the Midwest.
As a member of Belly Dance Business Academy, Jenn will be offering workshops on what’s made her the most successful: how to open a studio, creating community among dancers and hosting well-managed special events.
